Life with kids in Sydney City
The Art Gallery of NSW hosts FREE Drop In and Make sessions throughout the year for kids.
Children are invited to create their own artwork based on the sculptures and portraits featured in the Gallery’s collection. All materials and instructions are provided.
Children are welcome with their parents or carers any time Mondays to Fridays between 11am and 3.30pm. No bookings required.
From 11am until 3.30pm Sunday 4th and 18th November 2018
FREE: Ripples and tides, waves and water. Create an artwork that explores watery environments and ecosystems based on the art of Judy Watson.
Ticketed: Does your preschooler love to make art? Join for a fun art making tour of the Gallery to develop their creativity and improved fine motor skills. For ages 3 to 5, with an adult.
Tuesday 27th and Thursday 29th November 2018Register by 10.15am for 10.30am start
Cost: $25 per child (with one adult).

Ticketed: Kids with their adult companion will work together to make a range of cards and ornaments to celebrate the festive season. Michael Clonaris is an expert Origami artist and will teach you a range of easy through to more challenging origami folds to add charm and originality to your cards.
Cost: $45 non-member. $35 member.

FREE: Celebrate a European Christmas at the Gallery with festive art making for the whole family. For children with their parents or carers. All materials and instructions provided.

FREE: Taking your cue from the artworks on display in the exhibition Masters of modern art from the Hermitage, there will be three weeks of dynamic art making experiences and workshops. For children with their parents or carers. All materials and instructions provided.
Week 1: 7th - 11th January: Colourful trees and parks.
Week 2: 14th - 18th January The expressive shapes and rhythms of ports and rivers.
Week 3: 21st - 25th January The pattern of abstraction.
