Junkyard Beats at the MCA

Junkyard Beats is renowned for dynamic rhythm performances and workshops filled with imagination, humour, fun and creativity. They present a series of high-energy routines that include body percussion, fire drumming, junk percussion, pyrotechnics and hilarious skits. Their family-friendly shows draw on inspiration from everyday life, the streets and the junkyard.

Following their performances the team will host workshops where families can discover how to turn buckets, broom sticks, kitchen utensils, plastic bags or even your own body into a musical instrument. Unwanted junk comes alive in exciting and surprising ways as ordinary household items transform into extraordinary, booty-shaking instruments for an all-ages jam session.
