Life with kids in Sydney City
Our friends at Vivid have given us the lowdown on how to make the most of your Vivid experience with kids.
For anyone that attended Vivid last year, it got busy. Like jam packed, can't move, crowdsurfing might be my only option to escape- busy.
We contacted Vivid to make sure we can give you the best tips to enjoy Vivid with kids!
When to visit
Mon - Thurs are the quietest days so if you're not keen on crowds, avoid the weekends. Official "lights on" starts at 6pm and concludes at 11pm, however Chatswood installations commence at 5:30pm as well as Central Park Lights.
Keeping track of the kids
The information booths at Circular Quay and Darling Harbour offer wristbands to parents to put contact details on in case their children become lost. Alternatively, write your contact details on your child's arm.
How to get there
Leave the car at home! There is extra transport organised as there will be road closures. Checkout the transport page for further details.
Enjoy Vivid to it's fullest!
Try to spread out your Vivid experience. Instead of rushing to see everything in one night, plan to visit a different precinct every night. For a full list of events and precincts, see here .
Plan, plan, plan
For a stress free experience, download maps off the Vivid website, or use the ready made Trail experiences. Make sure you pack nibbles and drinks to keep everyone energised and of course remember to take lots of photos!
