After a morning play in the spectacularly awesome Alexandria Park, we headed over the road to check out the newest edition to the local cafe scene, Two Tales Cafe.
Two Tales is surrounded by lovely, leafy greenery and has such a peaceful atmosphere about it. I felt instantly relaxed there, despite towing a restless 19 month old with me.
As tempting as the great tables out the front were overlooking the park, I opted for a table next to kiddy wonderland. Yes, the cafe has one of the best kid play area set-ups I've seen for an establishment this size. There were literally boxes of toys and books for all ages. They even had rockers and play mats for the tiny newborns and up.
Bo loved it and went straight for the trains set and even had a play with owner Andres, who Bo quickly fell in love with and spent the rest of our time there trying to impress him. Andres, seemed to enjoy the fun as much as he did. A true testament to the relaxed and easy-going nature of this great new business.
As for the food. There were so many options. I opted for something light. Avo, feta and toasted seeds. It was really tasty on crunchy Sonoma bread. The coffee was sensational. There was a steady stream of takeaways from local businesses, which is pretty amazing after less than two months opening. Bo had a great time munching on his cheese and toast in between playing busily.
Other notables on the menu include, great looking breakfast, burger and salads; craft beer and wine; doggy treats for our four legged friends and an extensive menu for kids including a bottomless bowl of cereal. Great idea!!
There is also a great parents room with change table.
Such a wonderful and inviting experience. We'll be back for sure.
