Life with kids in Sydney City
Another great option for refuelling after a swim or a play in Victoria Park, a spot of shopping in Broadway Shopping Centre or school holiday activities at the Seymour Centre. It's located in Chippendale but on the edge of Camperdown, Newtown, Ultimo and Glebe.
I really wanted to check this out for the coffee as it's a Toby's Estate speciality cafe. Yes, their coffee is incredible and thankfully they are kid friendly which means I can go back! They have one highchair and the toilet is really big, large evough to bring a pram in. There is no change table.
Parking is easy. 2hr parking in Victoria Park if you are coming that way on City Rd, otherwise 2hr free parking in Broadway Shopping Centre.
I love their menu too. They have an all day breakfast and lunch is served from 11am. The ingredients and dishes are really interesting. I literally wanted to order 10 different things!
I finally decided on the Chicken, baby fennel and asparagus salad on Michelle sliced sourdough bread. It was refreshing and filling and had the word 'salad' in the name which made me feel good. The background music was great and there was a really nice buzz. ;
There isn't a separate kids menu but there are lots on options on the adults menu that would suit like the smashed avocado, tomato and feta on toast which is on the all day menu.
I just happened to be coming from the doctors with bronchitis and feeling pretty miserable when I popped in and I left a much happier person. It's amazing what a nice dining experience can do for the soul.
Victoria Park and Playground and pool is across the road.
