Free guided walks: Mon-Fri at 10:30am (Mar-Nov only, except Public Holidays) - allow 1.5 hours. Walks depart from the Information Counter at the Palm Grove Centre.
Choo Choo Express: Scenic train tour by Choo Choo Express Operates daily every 30 minutes (weather permitting): Monday-Friday: 10 am - 4.30 pm Oct-April, 11 am - 4 pm May-October, Saturday-Sunday: 10 am - 4.30 pm. Cost: adults $10, children $5.

Garden Shop: Open: 9.30 am-5 pm daily, 9.30 am-4.30 pm June and July. Located in the Palm Grove Centre, open 9.30 am to 5 pm daily except Christmas Day and Good Friday. Phone 9231 8125

Botanic Gardens Restaurant: Lunches from 12 noon daily, brunch on weekends, reservations and private functions (phone 9241 2419). The Cafe is open 8.30 am-4.30pm.
The Pavilion: Restaurant open for lunch daily, reservations and private functions (phone 9232 1322).
Kiosk: open 7.30 am-4 pm daily.
Palace Gate Cafe: Open weekdays 8 am-5 pm, Saturdays 9.30 am-4.30 pm, closed Sundays (phone 9252 5779).
Shop on the Hop: fast food outlet located at Mrs Macquaries Point, weather permitting.
Please note: No pets, bicycle riding, scooter riding, rollerblading, rollerskating, frisbees or ball games. These activities are allowed in the Domain only.

TRAIN: the nearest station is Martin Place, a 10 min walk. Other stations close to the Royal Botanic Gardens are St James and Circular Quay.FERRY: A 15 min walk from Circular QuayBUS: the 441 (Balmain via QVB Building) leaves York Street, Town Hall on weekdays, 10 am to 5 pm, stopping outside the Art Gallery of NSW. Route 200 (Chatswood to Bondi) stops in Macquarie Street.CAR: there is metered parking along Mrs Macquaries Road, Hospital Road and Macquarie Street. Undercover parking is available at the Domain Car Park with a $10 flat rate on weekends

The cafe offers a Kids Menu from 11.30am daily. Fish and Chips cost $11 and went down a treat. The Calyx is entry by donation has a wonderful informative and interactive children's corner. Don't miss the annual Tomato Festival and the Tinkerbell and the Fairies show during the Summer. We love coming to The Royal Botanic Gardens when we are in the city. The train is next on our bucket list of things to do.
