Life with kids in Sydney City
Yummy yummy gelato with a crazy good range of flavours, great for kids and also the more sophisticated palette (I think I mean us adults).
Sydney's First Plant Based Gelateria! Artisan gelato made daily from scratch. 25 flavours to choose from. Suitable for lacto-ovo vegetarians and vegans.
I actually had no idea that Gelato Blue was vegan and vegetarian-friendly, but what a bonus for those who follow these diets.
There are some serious options to suit any palette i.e young or more mature like us parents. Amazing sounding varieties to choose like date and black sesame, passionfruit cheesecake, salted Belgium chocolate, sesame halva, caramelized macadamia crunch and salted caramel Greek-style yoghurt.
Sorbet options include peanut butter brownie, after dinner mint, and caramelized fig and cinnamon.
They also have some more traditional flavours such as hockey pokey, vanilla (which I picked for the little one and I to share) and Belgian mint chip, which Lily chose with extra chocolate flakes.
The flavours were really distinct. The vanilla was something I'd never experienced before. Made me wish I'd gotten one of the more exotic flavours for myself.
Lily loved her mint chip and it was finished before we made it to the park.
The people that served us were really lovely and talked to Lily about her choices.
Definitely a treat with the kids or after date night dinner. Pair it with a trip to Sushi Train right next door.
