Life with kids in Sydney City
Coffee Tea & Me in Waterloo make the cutest babyccino's! This is such a pretty cafe, kid friendly, lots of room for mothers groups and minutes from Corning Park Playground in Waterloo.
The wooden furniture painted in cool whites, blues and greys gives the cafe a relaxing country feel. Clever touches like a wheelbarrow filled with colourful flowers, a basket of eggs in the windowsill, a wooden vintage dresser and wicker baskets suspended from the ceiling make it feel really homely.
The spacious outdoor area, some of which is undercover is fully fenced and shaded by umbrellas making it the perfect place to bring the kids (note: kids will be able to crawl under the fence but at least they can't run straight onto the road). They have highchairs, make the most amazing babycchino's and are just so lovely to kids.
We found this lovely spot after a play in the nearby playground, which is only around the corner. Paul, our basista served me up a delicious coffee (a Campus blend) and demonstrated his skills making gorgeous bear and a bunny babycchino’s ;for us which were almost too pretty to drink!
They have a huge selection of cookies and sweet treats as well as bagels and salads. They offer great bagel and salad combos options. I had the salmon and avocado bagel which was really tasty. ;There isn't a kids menu but the bagels are a good size for kids.
I arrived there at that awkward time when little man wasn’t due a meal and lately he has become difficult if I am eating and he is not. I usually have some fruit or salad for him to nibble on but I was totally unprepared so I asked the guys for a slice of tomato for him to nibble on. Tanya couldn’t do enough for him giving him his own little dish of tomato slices which was promptly filled up as he sucked the juice out of them and threw them on the ground! They made him laugh and chatted to him and I got to enjoy my bagel and coffee…happy days!
Crowning and Corning Park Playground is only 4 mins walk away (294km)
