Life with kids in Sydney City
A really cool cafe and bakery that serves great coffee and sweets in Rosebery.
Another local of mine I often drop in on route from day care. I love it’s industrial style with huge ceiling, copper counter, whitewashed weathered brick and leather stools. They have a large bakery and a wood fired oven for their range of sourdough breads, pastries and cakes. Their Little Marionette coffee is really good and they have an huge range of beautiful (to look at and eat) sweets. They have gluten free and vegan options too. Pies ($8), Quiches ($6.50), Daily Toasties ($10) and Breakfast Granola with Fruit ($8) are also on the menu.
Kids favourites are the chocolate or strawberry milkshakes and the Ninja Gingerbread Men
There is a little collection of books and kids toys at the front door for everyone to use.
There are 2 highchairs and the cafe is pretty spacious for prams. There are a few steps inside the front door so you may need help to get a pram up to the main level. I use the side door which is at ground level. If you enter through the driveway entrance of Kitchen by Mike on Dunning Avenue it will be the building on your far right. The side door is usually open as the is is the door they use to access the toilets.
Toilets are in an ajoining building. The disabled toilet has lots of space for a pram but no place to change a baby. The womans toilets are a better option with a separate shower/changing area that has a bench you can use.
There is plenty of street parking on Dunning Avenue.
Turruwul Park Playground is only 2 minute walk away.
