Life with kids in Sydney City
A spacious and comfortable family friendly cafe/restaurant in Newtown.
It has a lovely relaxing atmosphere and a great place for a family lunch or dinner and very popular with mothers groups. There is plenty of space for strollers, lots of highchairs, a change table, baskets of toys and books (well worn but still a distraction) and a great kids menu. They even have a child's seat fitted on the toilet! It's licensed and open until 10pm and they take bookings for functions.
There is street parking on King St but it’s usually busy.
We popped in for lunch during the week and it was a big hit. I had a gorgeous Slow roasted lamb wrap with parsley salad, humus, dukkah, yoghurt & mint sauce ($15) and hubby had Chicken schnitzel, bacon & chipotle aioli on grilled brioche burger bun ($15). I had food envy when I spotted the scallop salad come out (Warm salad of grilled scallops, Morcilla, fried cauliflower & bacon $19) so I might go back to try that out.
We chilled out on a comfy sofa as we ate our lunch and our little man played with some of their toys. It was great to have facilities to change him and 'new' toys to occupy him.
