“I started drawing and painting as soon as I could hold the pencil. Growing up beach-side in Beaumaris, and going on camping holidays in the bush, started my love of the Australian landscape, animals, and birds. Discovering opals and travelling out to the opal fields led me to discover a whole new world of colour and shapes.

My bush studio became the basis of many stories based on the lyrebirds, wallabies, wombats, and king parrots that I made friends with. Using paper collage as a way of creating my Black Opal artworks inspired the idea for 'Rainbow Menagerie'.”  Linda Jackson says.
